Coba Express Tour let's you enjoy the Coba ruins without any of the extras like Mayan villages, cenotes, or lunch, and focus on the Mayan ruins instead. Enjoy the only public half a day from Cozumel! You will enjoy the a guided tour and also gives you time to climb the pyramid as all of our tours do. Sleep in late as we depart at 9:00 AM, and return to Playa del Carmen by about 3:00 PM, with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your afternoon and rest before dinner. This is the best options for those who only want to enjoy the Coba ruins!
The fun begins when you
arrive to Coba, an expert archaeological tour
guide will lead the expedition of the once great
city of the Mayan empire. This massive
city, is one of the newest archaeological sites
uncovered in the Riviera Maya, the site is still
under restoration, More than 5,000 structures
have yet to be uncovered! Coba is located in the
middle of the jungle, on the way there you will
see paths and mounds overgrown with vines,
trees, and flowers that hide parts of the ruins.
After the guided tour is over, you will have
some free time to do your own exploration, grab
a bite to eat, but we recommend you climb the
amazing Nohoch Muul pyramid, the tallest in the
Yucatan Peninsula. From the top of the great
pyramid, you will have stunning views of the
jungle. Then it's back to Playa del Carmen!
